HEO Boosts In-Space Capability With Back-To-Back NEI Camera Launches

SpaceX Launches Impulse Space’s Mira, Bringing HEO USA’s HOLMES-007 to Orbit

Washington DC (January 14, 2025) — HEO is excited to announce our Holmes-007 non-Earth imaging (NEI) payload successfully launched today aboard the Transporter-12 rideshare mission with SpaceX, making this our second payload deployment in three weeks.  Holmes-007 is integrated as a hosted payload on the Impulse Mira space vehicle and will capture high-resolution imagery of in-space objects as they pass through Mira’s field of view.

“HEO is accelerating the pace in which we put NEI sensors to orbit,” said Dr Will Crowe, HEO’s CEO & Co-Founder. “High revisit rates and a proliferated sensor network unlock a unique strategic information advantage at exceptional value for government and commercial space operators when they need to get eyes on spacecraft that matter to them.”

“We consider our partnership with Impulse as core to realizing our vision to image everything in the solar system on demand.  They are an impressive group of people producing an equally impressive space vehicle so they’ve been a natural choice to host our world class NEI payloads.  Every time we add a sensor to our network is exciting.  Every one helps increase the volume of data available to provide high value insights for customers,” added Rachael Sharp, Director of Partnerships, HEO USA.

HEO expects to grow their NEI sensor network in Low Earth Orbit to over 60 by the end of 2025 and expects to have several NEI sensors operational in Geosynchronous orbit by 2026.
